Running my own business was never part of my original plan. I’ve always enjoyed witnessing
the outcome of anything beautifully decorated, and my inspiration blossomed after experiencing
a beautifully decorated baby shower in my honor. The fear of launching a business held me
back initially, so I sought courage from a few loved ones:
My mother’s encouragement led me to take the leap into business. Her unwavering support
continues to inspire me, hence the business name Cynthia’s Daughter.
My close friend Chanel Platt who beautifully decorated my baby shower provided sound advice.
We engaged in long discussions while I bounced my idea concepts around until I had a starting
point. She pledged to be my inaugural customer and faithfully fulfilled that commitment.
My close sister/friend Sharena Brown was the final person I sought advice from. Her input
solidified my vision and here we are. What began as a mere thought has now materialized into a
thriving business.
